The Texas Cyber Alliance (TCA) is a Texas-based nonprofit organization organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

TCA’s purpose is to advance public understanding of cybersecurity and to support the development of a skilled, informed, and resilient cybersecurity community across the State of Texas. The organization seeks to reduce cyber-related risks to businesses, individuals, educational institutions, and public-serving entities in Texas through education, outreach, and collaboration.

Our Mission

To promote cybersecurity education, awareness, and workforce development for the benefit of the public, while encouraging cooperation and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders across Texas.

Charitable and Educational Activities

In furtherance of its exempt purposes, Texas Cyber Alliance may:

  • Provide Educational Programs and Resources
    Develop and disseminate educational materials, workshops, and public-facing resources designed to improve understanding of cybersecurity risks, best practices, and resilience.
  • Support Workforce Development and Training
    Encourage career pathways, skills development, and educational opportunities that expand access to cybersecurity knowledge and employment.
  • Facilitate Collaboration and Public Benefit Initiatives
    Convene forums, discussions, and partnerships that enable the sharing of non-proprietary information and best practices in support of public interest cybersecurity outcomes.
  • Advance Cyber Resilience for Public-Serving Organizations
    Promote practical approaches to security and operational resilience, particularly for organizations that serve the public or operate essential services.

Public Benefit and Neutrality

Texas Cyber Alliance is non-partisan and vendor-neutral. The organization does not endorse political candidates, lobby for legislation as a primary activity, or promote specific commercial products or services. All activities are conducted in furtherance of its charitable and educational mission and for the benefit of the general public.

TCA is committed to increasing access to cybersecurity knowledge, lowering barriers to participation in the field, and strengthening the overall resilience of Texas’s digital ecosystem through education, collaboration, and community engagement.
